Fresh Nets at Belvedere Community League’s Basketball Courts

Belvedere residents have fresh basketball nets to play with after the Edmonton Stingers Basketball Club replaced the nets at Belvedere Community League’s basketball courts. The four courts are adjacent to the community league and Belvedere School. 

The basketball team replaced the nets at the outdoor courts as part of its Fresh Nets Initiative. Their website states:

The Fresh Nets Program is a community initiative focused on refreshing all the nets in Edmonton! We believe that basketball should be accessible and available to all, and want to see the game we love grow in our city! Each basketball hoop will have brand new nets installed by our own players, staff, and volunteers.

The Edmonton Stingers are part of the Canadian Elite Basketball League and play their home games out of the Edmonton Expo Centre.
